Jake Lougee and Jason steeger
Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.

Nathan works hard to provide an exceptional audio and visual experience for our congregation and all who visit with us. Whether it is through our Live Stream of Sunday morning worship, maintaining our current and past sermons on the website and YouTube, or by optimizing our app so the congregation has what they need at their fingertips, Nathan is on top of it all. Jim has been at the helm of our Benevolence Ministry for many years. This ministry provides financial assistance for members who are having a difficult time making ends meet and offers financial guidance and instruction for those who seek and need it.
Bread & Community outreach

Our Bread Ministry seeks to provide bread, bagels, and pastries, sourced from Panera Bread, to those in need. Jesus is the bread of life and we strive to share the message of Jesus as we meet the physical need for bread.
Joe Ann is also our Community Coordinator. She works to create relationships between Wetzel Road Church of Christ and our local community, which will allow the community to see God's love in action. She has helped to facilitate our partnership with the CNY Food Bank through our Food Panty and Food Sense. She has also forged a partnership with our local elementary and middle school and has plans to help with "Rebecca's Closet" in our local high school in April. She has also applied to volunteer with Willow House (former Care Net).

As you can imagine, it takes effort to maintain and improve the buildings and grounds of the church. While many pitch in to do this, Tom is the point person for all repairs, improvements, and organizing of work days for the church.

Our Clothing Closet ministry provides a warm and loving environment where families can find the clothes they need at no cost. We have clothing in all sizes and for all ages and are grateful to be able to share the love of Christ in providing this clothing for those in need. We are open Tuesdays, 12:00 - 2:00 pm & Saturdays, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Food Sense is an affordable opportunity to purchase food at lower prices compared to Walmart, Aldi & Wegmans. The monthly Package can be purchased for $20.50. The Package contains 12 items that consist of proteins & vegetables. In addition to the Package, specials are offered such as spare ribs, stuffed shells, and chicken & pork chops stuffed with apples & cranberries. Orders can be entered on line with a credit card or by contacting Jo Ann Steeger.

Hugs for Hope is an organization established to support individuals and their families as they walk through their journey with cancer. The Hugs for Hope ministry is called to extend the love of Christ by crafting handmade yellow scarves and other items to be sent around the country through the organization. Our mission is to pass on the skill of how to create handmade yellow scarves and other items to wrap those suffering with cancer in a hug of hope.
How can you help? Attend a class or donate yellow yarn, crafting tools — knitting looms, knitting needles, crochet hooks, sewing tape measure, etc. All are welcome to participate.

Journey of Our Hearts is a women’s fellowship group whose purpose is to get to know one another on a more personal level. We share our life stories and support one another through our journey of life. We have fun while playing games, sharing our cultures, family traditions, & talents. We also engage in service projects such as cards for shut in’s, Hugs for Hope, & plan to partner with the Healing Hands Project for Women of Hope. Meal Ministry

The purpose of our Meal Ministry is to help our church family members who are in need by providing ready-made meals. During times of need like recovering from medical illness, personal crisis, loss, or the birth of a new baby, it is an incredible blessing to see a friendly face and receive a meal from the church family.

The prayer ministry coordinators are responsible for the organization and distribution of all prayer requests to the Wetzel Road Congregation. They are also involved in contacting those who have requested prayers for updates.

Walk together

The Walk Together Ministry matches up a teen with an adult member volunteer to encourage and pray for one another as they walk together in faith. The teen and their adult Walk Together partner also spend time together, getting to know each other and building a relationship that supports their growth in Christ.
