Mark was born in Syracuse, NY and grew up just outside the city, in Lyncourt. He was raised in a typical Italian family and would often walk or ride his bike to the local Catholic church on Sundays. A lifelong resident of the area, Mark attended Bishop Grimes High School and Syracuse University where he received a BS in Computer Engineering.

While attending SU, he started reading the Bible and attending Bible studies sponsored by various denominations. Soon Mark began studying the Bible with members of the Eastside Church of Christ and was baptized into Jesus in the summer of 1980. Mark met his wife Linda while both were performing for many years in the Lyncourt community band. They have two children (Stacey and David) that they home schooled and who are recent graduates of Harding University.

The Condolora family became members of the Wetzel Road church in 1995. Mark served as a Deacon starting in 2000 and became an Elder in 2005. Mark works for Syracuse Research Corporation as a manager in the radar engineering department. He teaches adult Bible classes at the church and Linda leads ladies classes at the church building and at home.

David Owens was born and raised in Syracuse, New York and is second oldest in a family of ten children.  Throughout his childhood, David's family worshipped with Methodist churches, but around age 11, he and his family began attending the Southside Church of Christ, and Camp Hunt.  On July 31, 1974, David made a profession of faith in Christ and was immersed in water for the forgiveness of sins.  After graduating in 1979 from Fayetteville-Manlius High School, and having a heart for ministry, David earned degrees from Northeastern Christian Junior College (A.A.), Harding University (B.A.) and Harding Graduate School of Religion (M.A.R.).  David Owens and the former Diana Olbricht were married in 1983 and they have three daughters.  Having completed his Bachelor's degree, David began serving as the associate minister of the College Avenue Church of Christ in El Dorado, Arkansas.  In 1987, with his schooling behind him and some experience under his belt, David returned to New York to serve the Wetzel Road Church of Christ.  In the years that have transpired, David has ministered to the congregation as an evangelist and now is also serving as one of the elders.

Due to my mother's influence, I became a Christian when I was 11 years old. Without a Church of Christ in our small, West Virginia coal mining town, I attended the Methodist church until I was in the 11th grade. After wandering in my faith, I renewed my commitment to Christ. I began to be active in a small church and attended a Baptist college. It was at this school that I met Joyce. Upon graduating, we were married and both began attending the University of Florida. We grew in Christ as we learned more and more of His love. After I came to Syracuse in 1968 to work for General Electric, we became part of the Wetzel Road church family. Our children, Scott, Susan and Alan grew up in this church. They all now have Christian families of their own and their faithfulness is a great joy to us. I retired in 1991 to become a fulltime shepherd. God continues to greatly bless us as we seek to serve Him.

I was born and grew up in Syracuse.  During my early years I attended worship services and Sunday school at a Presbyterian church.  During my early teens I also attended services at a Christian & Missionary Alliance church.  After this, I only attended church services sporadically.  In the mid 70's I started to become spiritually awakened, realizing my need for God, but was discouraged and confused by all the different teachings I had been exposed to. Praying for guidance, I left it up to God. In June of '75, finding myself on lay-off from my 2nd shift job at Carrier, God answered my prayers. One evening (a time when I normally would have been at work), several teen aged campaigners knocked at our door asking if we would like to study the Bible. I welcomed the opportunity. Finally- the truth that I had searched for! A few days later I put on my Lord in baptism.

My wife,Pat and I live in Cicero and have two grown sons and three grandchildren.
We have seen many changes here at Wetzel Rd. over the years, but the one thing that has been a constant is the love this congregation has for the Lord and His word, for one another and for the lost.  We are grateful for the friendships we have had and for the leaders we have had, who have faithfully served to exemplify that love.
